Covenants: We work in partnership with QEII National Trust to offer legal protection of special ecosystems and habitats by way of covenants. This means that landowners and subsequent landowners need to protect and manage the area, ensuring its protection. For more information on covenants and funding available visit QEII National Trust.
Key Native Ecosystems: We have identified areas with high biodiversity values in different ecosystem types (forest, wetland, freshwater, estuarine and coastal) using current scientific knowledge and spatial data. KNE sites can be on private land. For more information visit our Key Native Ecosystems page.
