A targeted groundwater quality investigation was undertaken in December
1996 to assess the occurence of pesticide contamination of groundwater
in the western Wellington Region.

The Kapiti area was selected for sampling as it is the area of highest
pesticide usage within the region. This report documents the results of
that investigation.

The aim of the study was to provide data on which to determine the

Wellington Region.
