The purpose of this Plan is to put in place procedures and
arrangements to achieve the vision that the Civil Defence
Emergency Management Group has set itself - making sure
the communities of the Wellington Region are resilient.

Resilient communities are ready for emergencies and have
the knowledge, skills and resources to respond to and
recover from an emergency event. This Plan will help us to
become more aware of our hazards and their consequences.
