This Land Transport Strategy document sets out the objectives, policies
and plans for land transport in the Wellington Region for the next twenty
years. It offers the potential to significantly improve the economic and
social wellbeing of the region. The Strategy fulfils the formal requirements
of a Regional Land Transport Strategy for the period 1999 to 2004 and
incorporates the more detailed public transport policies of a Regional
Passenger Transport Plan.
