Wellington Regional Council Harbourmaster’s Direction 4A/2023 Te Ara Tupua restricted areas
Search in document libraryThe Te Ara Tupua coastal protection and walk/cycleway is a project that will rebuild the seawall and provide two offshore habitats in the area between the western end of Petone beach and Nguaranga. This work will be on-going over several years and involves barges and work boats in this area. These vessels will often be working close to shore and in restricted waters. In the initial stage the two offshore habitats will be built directly from the barge, there will be reducing depth of water within the two marked areas (indicated by four white poles on each site, lit with a white fixed light) prior to the rocks becoming visible above the surface.
