Conservation status of bat species in the Wellington region

Two bat species were identified as being present in the region, both being assessed as Regionally Threatened (regionally Critical). A third bat species is classified as being regionally Extinct. Recommendations for conservation activities for bats include the protection of known roost sites from predators and survey priorities.
