Rivers and Schemes

Greater Wellington Regional Council manages the development and implementation of Floodplain Management Plans and Flood Protection Schemes for a number of the regions rivers and streams. In addition to this we carry out maintenance activities on sections of many other rivers and streams under a watercourses agreement with local authorities.
