Park interest groups

The Whitireia Park Restoration Group (formerly the Onehunga Bay Restoration Group) has been working to restore the sand dunes, streams and wetlands in Whitireia Park.

The Titahi Golf Club leases part of the park for a 9-hole golf course. Green fee players are welcome during the week, on most Saturdays, and Sunday afternoons.

The Wellington Model Aeroplane Club use part of the park to fly their model aeroplanes and are a regular feature in the park.
