The Friends of Baring Head are a passionate group of individuals who help Greater Wellington Regional Council to improve and enhance a truly magnificent area of East Harbour Regional Park.
The effort, care and attention these people dedicate to Baring Head/Ōrua-pouanui and beyond is extraordinary.

Our subscriptions are Individual (waged $20 or unwaged $10); Family $30; organisation $50.

The Friends of Baring Head Trust has been created to provide a means for the community to assist Greater Wellington in caring for Baring Head/Ōrua-pouanui and being involved in its management and development.
Visit and see for yourself what this unique and historical coastal landscape has for you. Baring Head/Ōrua-pouanui has a spectacular coast experience where you can enjoy the extensive walking and horseriding and mountainbiking tracks among the farmland and the coastal shrubland, and learn about the unique history of this area including the lighthouse precinct.
