Fee schedule - commercial activities

All fee negotiations and waivers will be at the discretion of the Parks Manager.

The following rates apply for all commercial activities:

Activity involving multiple landowners eg Greater Wellington, Department of Conservation, Hutt City Council

Pro rata fee according to proposed use of other public lands eg Remutaka Rail Trail

Bonds

Minimum $200; up to $5,000 depending on level of impact

Park Ranger assistance (above normal duties, at discretion of the ranger)

$100/ hour for Park Ranger time

Activity fee: non-motorised (eg guided walking tours)

$5/ participant, full day (>4 hours duration)

$2.50/ participant, half day (<4 hours duration)

Activity fee: horse riding - events and trekking (more than 30 horses and people)

Events: $5/competitor

Rally/practice: $3/participant

Activity fee: passenger vehicle conveyance (eg van or bus tours)

$2.50/person

Activity fee: motorbike and trail bike

$15/bike (full day)

$10/bike (half day)

Activity fee: 4WDs/motorised vehicles (includes fundraising events)

$40/vehicle (full day)

$25/vehicle (half day)

Festivals/ large events

10% of gross receipts of festival/ event and any associated mobile traders or

$2.50/ person attending the festival/ event (whichever is appropriate)

Mobile traders (eg coffee cart, hotdog stand, bike shop/hire stand)

Casual use – less than 12 months

Casual use – more than 12 months. (Note: Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE) may be required. Refer Toitū Te Whenua Parks Network Plan 2020-30
