Howard Road

The track climbs through regenerating forest offering stunning views of Wellington Harbour. The gorse is forming a nurse crop for native trees and shrubs and will eventually die out. From the main ridge a range of tracks lead down to other eastern bays and over to the Wainuiomata Valley.

Main Ridge Track:	45 mins
Cheviot Road:	1 hour
Wainuiomata Hill Lookout:	1 hour

Ngaumatau Road

The tracks descend through mixed beech/ podocarp forest down to Lowry Bay. From Cheviot Road another track climbs up to the main ridge through regenerating forest offering stunnig views of Wellington Harbour. From the main ridge a range of tracks lead down to other eastern bays and over to the Wainuiomata Valley.
