Fires may only be lit along the river bed at the campsite with the park ranger's permission when there is no fire ban in place.

We are incredibly lucky to have so many beautiful camping experiences on our doorstep. Get along to one of our “oarsome” campgrounds and start your own family tradition.

Pitch a tent, roast some marshmallows, apply the bug spray and invent your own camping hacks to pass onto future generations. Each park’s camping is slightly different, so see the park you’re interested in for specific information around booking and conditions.

Battle Hill Farm Park

"If you want a bit more of a camping adventure but you are not quite ready for the full bush experience this is the place. A stream runs through it for the kids to paddle in, there is a flat grassy area to pitch your tent, and proper toilet facilities (not long drop!)" Tripadvisor. Battle Hill is a very popular camping spot and you do need to book in advance. Find out more>>

Kaitoke Regional Park
